Working directly with MLB Network to redesign their on-air update package — a high-frequency broadcast element that had not been touched in over a decade. Airing multiple times throughout the day, the Update package serves as the network's primary vehicle for breaking news, score updates, and urgent in-game developments. It needed to work hard, look current, and be built to last.
The deliverable was a full bundle — front end, back end, and transition animation — redesigned from the ground up with the MLB Network logo as the sole anchor. Beyond the visual refresh, the project carried a practical mandate: the final output needed to be an After Effects template allowing the team to quickly swap sponsors in and out, while also functioning as a clean generic update when no sponsor was present.
The result is a broadcast package with a fresh, modern aesthetic and a production-ready architecture — designed so that craft and functionality solve for each other at the same time.
